Terms
Last updated 31 August 2026
These are the terms for playing Split Loyalties. Plain English, because they are meant to be read. By using the game you agree to them.
1. What this is
A free season-long fantasy-football game across the four divisions of the English league pyramid. There is no prize, no pot and no stake. You cannot pay to enter, you cannot win money, and nothing here is betting or gambling. We do not run advertising.
2. Your account
- One account per person.
- Your display name is shown to other players. Names that are abusive, impersonate someone, or are obviously offensive get blocked or renamed — the same goes for league names.
- Keep your sign-in address to yourself. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
- You need to be 13 or over to have an account.
3. Playing fairly
No scripts, bots or automated access. No second accounts to game a league. No trying to get at other players' data or at parts of the app that are not yours. If you do any of this we may suspend or remove your account.
4. Scores and results
Points are worked out from real match data supplied by a third party. That data is occasionally wrong and is sometimes corrected days later — a goal reassigned, a result amended. When it is, scores and tables are recalculated to match, which can move your position after the fact. We aim for the game to reflect what actually happened rather than for a table to stay still.
5. Availability
This is a small game run by one person. It can be down, it can be slow, deadlines depend on fixtures that move, and features can change or be removed. We do not promise the game will be available at any particular moment, and we may end it — with notice by email if you are playing at the time.
6. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; what that removes is set out in the privacy policy. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms.
7. Our responsibility
The game is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it — including a mis-scored gameweek, a missed deadline or a period when it was unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and none of it affects your rights as a consumer.
8. Changes to these terms
If these change, the date at the top changes with them, and a change that materially affects how the game is played will be mentioned in the game or by email.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
